THE HORNS ARE SO GOOD!!!
kid cudi's uncle played the drums of this track
The first version I heard of this track was by Manfred Mann on "The One In The Middle" EP. This version is somewhat mellower. Cool if you're in the mood to chill. Sliiide
Who did the original? im looking for that. used to hear it now and then but sadly lost the name to the music.
what a mellow man
Not the original version to hit the American Charts, the original had in the background the great salsa Queen LA LUPE, before she made it big thanks to Tito Puente.
Bad ass jam!!!! the man was great. May he rest in peace!!!!
During my jazz combo years, whenever someone would call up this tune I never knew if they meant Herbie's version or Mongo's version. Well, actually it depended on who I was playing with. I was down with either version. I didn't care.
Quina gran presentació d'una melodia clàssica! Gràcies per publicar, i una forta abraçada des de Denver, Colorado.
Mongo. Gone but not forgotten. You made your mark.
